Berkeley beat Cal Maritime

Berkeley beat Cal Maritime 24-3 in the first match of a three-game Norcal rugby series. Cal Maritime was trailing the Bears at the halftime break, but the Bears scored four second-half tries and won the match. Cal Maritime won a penalty kick in the 37th minute to make it 3-0. Robert Kelley scored the Cal first try in the second period. Mark Richter converted the two point conversion. The Bears began to take control of the game as they developed phases and sequences.

Modesto whippets had four attempts over 60 meters.
